This was just an ideal choice for a weekend getaway in Hvolsvollur with good price value. Enjoyed the delicious dinner, though it was a bit pricey. If you book a room, avoid the first floor near the dining area.

Great for a family getaway
We really enjoyed the fresh, tasty breakfast every morning. I mean they had salmon, my favorite. And the horseback riding was something special, the trails were lovely and the guides were so friendly, they made it easy even for a beginner like me.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for, right?

We had a wonderful experience, especially enjoying the cozy rooms that provided beautiful views of the Icelandic landscape. The horseback riding tours were a standout activity, guided by friendly staff who made the experience unforgettable. Breakfast was a delight, featuring freshly baked pastries and local cheeses, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. I do wish the bathroom could have been a bit larger for added comfort during our stay.

The restaurant provided a wonderful dining experience, showcasing local cuisine that was both fresh and flavorful. Each encounter with the staff felt personal, as they genuinely cared about our comfort and satisfaction. Additionally, the serene environment and picturesque fields surrounding the property made for a truly relaxing backdrop.
The room could have benefited from a bit more attention to detail in its cleanliness.
